Brain Training Hack: Start using your non-dominant hand for routine activities

From my recent book Better Decisions Better Thinking Better Outcomes

A frustrating and fun method (as long as you can laugh at yourself) to train your brain is to start using your non-dominant hand for routine activities. To minimize frustration, start with simple tasks like eating or brushing your teeth with the hand not normally used for these activities. Then gradually attempt harder tasks like texting or using a calculator with your “opposite” hand.

If you really want to have some fun with this, buy those workbooks that children use for learning how to write the alphabet and numbers. The ones that have dotted lines that children trace over to form letters and digits. Use these workbooks to teach yourself how to write with your non-dominant hand. It will be slow going at first, but you will be actively stimulating several areas of your brain while making new neuronal connections.
